In 2007, Evocon’s founder, Ahto, was a process engineer at a windshield factory striving to improve production. Despite 24/7 operations, they couldn’t meet market demand, putting immense pressure on the team to boost output.

They discovered production varied 2x between day and night shifts, even though the process, equipment, and people were the same. Everyone had conflicting explanations, leaving no clear path for improvement.
Without a shared understanding, frustration grew. Teamwork broke down, and stress rose. Ahto realized they needed a common view of the problem to unite the team and stop the blame game.

Using pen and paper to log issues seemed inefficient and subjective, merely shifting verbal guesses to written ones.
Ahto envisioned gathering data directly from machines to reveal clear, objective insights. This would show unused potential, empower collaboration, and drive meaningful improvements.
