Operators are people who work at the stations. Defining them and making sure that they register themselves for shifts gives the possibility to analyse production reports based on people and teams. This may give insights to which operators are getting best results and which of them might need extra training.

How to add new operators?

  1. Go to Settings in Evocon and click on the “Operators” card.

  2. Click the „+ Operator“ button.

  3. Type in the first and last name of the production operator.

  4. Choose the station(s) where the operator will work. It is not possible to create an operator without any assigned stations.

Required operator selection

For Shift View users it is possible to enable the required operator selection feature. This will make it mandatory for operators to register themselves at the beginning of a shift and before adding stop reasons in Shift View.

The objective of this functionality is to improve operator performance and make sure that all production stops have reasons added to them.

How does the feature work (for Shift View users only)?

  1. If there are operators defined for a station, then the operator selection window opens automatically when a shift starts. In case operators close the window without making a selection, another reminder is shown when adding stop reasons.
  2. When an operator tries to add a stop reason, then the operator selection window is shown again. It is NOT possible to add a stop reason without an operator being selected for the shift.

Note: This feature can be enabled/disabled under station settings by users with administrative rights.
